Android 2.1 minimum required
(1) - Some devices may be able to still override speedsset in scaling max / min via kernel systems such asDVFS, etc.
Note: Currently does not support devices on HTCstock kernels with HTC Perflock enabled. Supportfor these kernels will come at a later date. May notfunction on Motorola devices that block access tothese sysfs entries required for cpu clock speed control. Some Samsung stock kernels (MIN FREQ) will beoverriden by DVFS, the kernel will be able to go lowerthan the speed shown as the kernel takes over controlof actively managing this setting. MAX FREQ seems tobe obeyed at all times however in testing. Some stockkernels hide available frequencies from userspaceand will disable functions for CPU clock control.Development will continue in this area to give maximumflexibility for the application to control as many devicesas possible.
